CLE Webinar: Adverse Events in Healthcare

Website 2024

Stacy Donnelly, RN, BSN, Nursing and Nursing Home Expert with DJS will present the complementary CLE webinar, “Adverse Events in Healthcare,” on September 4th at 12 pm EST.  When a person is admitted to a nursing home or skilled nursing facility, they generally expect that the medical care they receive will improve their health, not worsen it.  Unfortunately, that is not always the case.  An “adverse event” is described as harm to a patient as a result of medical care, including failure to provide care.

Covering a wide range of maladies, an adverse event can encompass anything from an abrasion to death.  In this webinar, Nurse Donnelly identifies factors in determining preventability of the incident, and discusses how the continuum of care concept applies to adverse events.

“Adverse Events in Healthcare” is a CLE webinar accredited for attorneys licensed in Colorado, Florida,  Pennsylvania, and Texas.  For registration and more information, please contact Emily Hopf, Marketing Coordinator, via email at marketing@forensicDJS.com or phone using our toll-free number, 1-800-332-6273.
