Michael’s hands-on training in collision reconstruction and automotive mechanics began in 2020 with DJS Associates, Inc., before he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Drexel University in 2024. While pursuing his formal education at Drexel, Michael trained with DJS in-house engineers to learn the practical and logistical aspects of engineering in forensic investigations. His first two years focused on data preparation and research for the Collision Reconstruction Department, followed by two years of in-the-field training with the Automotive Engineering Division, where he assisted with research, vehicle documentation, and preparation of inspection data.
As an Associate Engineer, Michael utilizes the Crash Data Retrieval system, as well as various commercial vehicle data extraction software to perform vehicle examinations for the Automotive Engineering Division. He holds a license in Unmanned Aircraft systems (UAS), which he uses to complete vehicle documentations. Michael provides technical support to Principal Engineer R. Scott King, BSME, CFEI, in the field during hands-on investigations and at the office preparing and providing clients with inspection results and analyses.
In Michael’s free time he can be found on the golf course working on his swing and enjoying the outdoor serenity. He looks forward to his annual road trip to North Carolina to visit one of his favorite golf courses, Mid South Club.
