Laurence joined DJS Associates, Inc. in 2016 as a member of the 3D Engineering Animations Department. In 2026, he became part of the firm’s newly established Transportation, Mechanical, and Digital Forensics Department, where he applies his expertise in 3D data processing, 3D modeling and animation, forensic video analysis, and interactive programming.
Laurence develops engineering animations by processing laser scan and drone data, creating detailed 3D models, applying textures, animating scenes, and compositing high-quality rendered deliverables. His expertise also includes camera and object motion videogrammetry for accurate 3D scene reconstruction. As a forensic video analyst, Laurence serves as an expert witness and consultant in matters involving the authentication of video evidence and the detection of potential tampering. Leveraging a variety of programming languages, he automates complex analytical workflows and develops interactive, multimedia-rich demonstrative exhibits that clearly communicate technical concepts.
Originally from southern England, Laurence has also lived in Switzerland and enjoys traveling throughout Europe with his wife and twin sons to visit family. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, restoring his turn-of-the-20th-century home, maintaining and riding classic motorcycles and cars, exploring the traditional craft of blacksmithing, and playing drums in a rock band. When it’s time to unwind, he is a lifelong fan of science fiction, with the Alien and Mad Max franchises among his favorites.
