Transportation expert with DJS Associates, Inc., Dr. Carl Berkowitz, was interviewed by 7 News Boston for their August 5th article investigating the disruptions to the MBTA’s Orange and Green Lines causing repeat shutdowns between frequented stations in the upcoming month.  Shutdowns are being scheduled to accommodate work for safety improvements recently investigated by The Federal Transit Administration that was launched following a fatality that occurred in March of this year.

“Everybody says, ‘well we didn’t have the budget for it.’ Money is not the only solution to problems,” Berkowitz said. “It’s important to be able to properly fund improvements, but generally problems are the result of poor management.”
